Our product changes and updates for July 2024

To ensure we offer high quality cover and options and support to your global clients, we've been doing our research¹ and we're excited to share some key changes and updates which will apply on our global health plans for individual clients from 1 July 2024, as well as some useful resources for you. 

For your individual clients 

New Outpatient optional upgrade: Comprehensive

Picking the right cover depends on your client's personal circumstances so we're giving them even more flexibility to choose what suits them. Whether it's a plan that is more affordable, meets specific treatment requirements or a plan to suit their family needs. 

That's why from 1 July 2024, we'll be introducing a new upgrade option to our Comprehensive plan to give your individual clients more choice with their global health plan. As part of the Comprehensive plan, clients can currently have the £3,500 outpatient combined limit and dental cover as standard benefits.

From 1 July 2024, they can choose one or a combination of the following outpatient optional upgrades. Each optional upgrade will come from the overall plan limit.

COMPREHENSIVE OPTIONAL UPGRADE
Enhanced outpatient cover
Cover up to the overall policy limit*
£200 health check per year included

Upgraded dental cover
Cover for routine dental check-ups such as 
scale and polish. 80% of the costs up to £1,000

*Consultations for psychiatric treatment paid in full up to 30 sessions and physiotherapy paid in full up to 35 sessions.

New Outpatient optional upgrade: Foundation and Standard

From 1 July 2024, we'll also be adding new outpatient upgrade options on our Foundation and Standard global health plans for individual clients. 

Your clients will be able to pick Foundation or Standard cover with an optional upgrade for outpatient treatment – choosing an outpatient limit of £1,000 or £2,500.

The application process just got simpler

We know how important it is that we design and review our products and services, putting your clients' best interest at heart, especially since the new Consumer Duty came into effect in July 2023. As supporting you and your clients is key, we continue to review our member policy documents and important communications.

Improved application forms – no need to sign on the dotted line

We're pleased to share our big improvement to the application submission process. We've made it even easier for your clients to apply for a policy by removing the need to sign the application form.*

Not only does this speed up the application process, it also eliminates the hassle of printing and scanning application forms to us. Now, they can simply submit the application form via email or post.

*These changes are effective for all new and renewing policies from 1st April 2024 and apply to all levels of cover across our global health plans and Islands Health Plans. These changes apply to plans insured by AXA PPP healthcare Limited, AXA Insurance dac, AXA XL Insurance Company UK Limited and Optimum Global Insurance Company Limited. Once the application form is submitted it becomes a binding agreement.
