Some notes to help you

What do we mean by domicile country?

The domicile country is the country where the policyholder has a permanent home, usually the country to which they intend to return at the end of their period of travel/assignment. It may be different from their country of residence. You or your client must tell us if there is any change to your client's domicile country.

What do we mean by country of residence?

The country of residence is the country where the policyholder lives or intends to live for most of the policy year. It'll be shown on their certificate of insurance. You or your client must tell us if there is any change to the country of residence.

You've told us that one of the most valued things when working with us is that we are timely and accurate with our responses to you. So, when we review our processes and products, we always keep this in mind.

A smarter way of working

Our goal is to get it right the first time when we offer quotes to you and your clients, so we're making a few tweaks to provide the best and most appropriate quote as quickly as possible.

From now on, we'll be asking you a few additional questions when you ask us for a quote. This small change will allow us to present a product that meets your clients' needs, from both a healthcare cover perspective, as well as regulatory. As we continue to grow our panel of insurers, there'll be more choice, and this will enhance your experience working with us.

How to get the best experience for your clients

It's easy. The more information you give us upfront, the quicker we'll be able to give you quote options:

For personal clients
Here's the new information we'll need, when you ask for a new business quote:

  • Are your clients a domicile of the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Gibraltar?
  • What country are they making their global health insurance purchase from?

For corporate schemes of all sizes
Here's the new information we'll need, when you ask for a new business quote:

  • Where is the headquarter of the client located?
  • Where is the contract for the scheme going to be signed?

That's it!

With that little bit of extra information, you'll get a speedy response from our teams. If you have any questions or want more information, speak to your AXA representative.
